Converts PDF to Word documents and other formats, also, splits a PDF into several PDFs files. PDF files are created and customized. Adds and removes passwords from PDF in a batch, adds and removes watermarks in PDF, adds bookmarks to PDF, add bates number to PDF pages, etc.

Just as its name suggests, iSkysoft's PDF Editor can help you create and edit PDF documents as well as perform conversions between various formats. The program’s interface is very much like those of other similar editors, so there is not much to learn if you have had previous experience with this kind of tools. It has a ribbon and tabs properly labeled with suggestive names.

The tool can create PDFs from scratch. Not only that, it processes multiple types of files, including TXT, PNG, JPG, BMP, GIF, RTF, PDF, DOC, DOCX, XLS, and HTML. Luckily, it supports converting files in batches, which saves a lot of precious time. Like most similar tools, it also allows importing pages right from a scanner. Finally, it is also important to know that you can append other files to the currently opened document.

It is excellent that iSkysoft's PDF Editor is equipped with various features that allow collaboration. In this respect, several users are allowed to access the same document from an online storage service, such as Dropbox and Google drive.

The program has most of the things you need to edit a document. For instance, you can modify the text and insert new objects. If you want to distribute documents and keep them safe from intruders, you will surely be glad to know that it is possible to protect the contents using encryption and secure passwords.

Something that I always look forward to finding in a PDF editor is the possibility to convert scanned pages to editable text. There is both good and bad news about this. While it is nice that OCR is supported, I do not like that it has to be installed and bought separately.

When you are done with the editing, you can export the documents to multiple formats. The supported list includes various Microsoft Office documents (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), ePub, web pages (HTML) and simple text files, probably more than with any other PDF editor.

To conclude, iSkysoft PDF Editor has a wide compatibility between formats. Besides, it installs a virtual printer that lets you convert practically any type of printable document into PDF. The product is, fortunately, shareware and can be tried at no cost. Moreover, it is more affordable than other software of this type. It is available in two editions: Standard and Professional.
